Given our vision for a new, evolving AI, it’s fair to ask: What about the incredible AI tools we already have? Where do Large Language Models (LLMs), generative models, and other machine learning systems fit into this picture?

The answer is that they are a crucial component, but their role changes fundamentally. In the dEO paradigm, these powerful models are not the central "brain." Instead, they become a system of supercharged, intelligent senses and reflexes.

Think about how you operate. When you read this text, you aren't consciously analyzing each letter and applying grammar rules. You have a highly trained, internal "language model" that instantly translates symbols into meaning. It’s a powerful, pre-trained reflex. The same is true for recognizing a face or catching a ball.

These are your personal "ML models"—your first signal system. Your conscious mind—the "you"—then uses the information from these senses to make judgments, form new ideas, and decide how to act.

This is exactly how the dEO engine works with modern AI models:
